WHAT TO EXPECT

We'll explore with eyes wide open, expand what's possible, and create something sustainable and extraordinary.

I like to think of myself as a presumptive partner.
One who's going to ask a lot of questions.

I'm also a realist.

If what you need is a working network, or reliable funding, that’s what you’ll get.

Sometimes events shape the order of things. I tend to fires for organizations that also want support to keep them from starting in the first place.

Then we get to graduate from the details to the bigger picture.

I seek to understand your nonprofit or company from a variety of perspectives. The payoff for this is usually something really good.

I bet on it.

I know my job is done well when my clients are deeply satisfied. My approach is comprehensive and my toolkit is vast. I won't accept one penny until it's a win for my client.
This is fundamental to my business model.

"Holds a space of radical acceptance."

Leadership Development

You can't solve a systems problem with labor, and even the most elegantly designed system in untrained hands is limited at best, destructive at worst.
We'll lay it all on the table to discover where there are problems to be solved and conflict energy to be resolved and refocused. We'll get you there.

About Me

CJAER WILSON

"I work to ensure that my clients are better off for having worked with me. My approach is comprehensive and my toolkit is vast. I won't accept one penny until it's a win for my client."

There is solid evidence to suggest that pain is the most reliable motivator after fear. People sometimes reach out to me motivated by one or both, often with a narrative about an external force causing them a near existential crisis. I can and do help out in these cases.

Yet it’s my strong preference to deeply explore the vision side of the equation. It's where we get the most bang for the buck.

I help hone self-awareness and communication skills, which are key components for creating cutting-edge, thriving cultures.

My expertise encompasses tech, operations, and development. My eye is always on unlocking potential for my clients, and I’m driven to uncover and remove any obstacles in your way.

I support clients to align and streamline communication, technology, cultural, and funding systems.

With nonprofits, I also focus on fundraising and grant/award design through refining your narrative and integrating the most powerful data to support your ask.

I support the creation of successful cultures through empowered vulnerability. What opens the most doors for my clients is my diversity of perspectives. While we’re exploring a policy decision, we’ll consider the implications for how it will feel for your team to live with it.

Organizational culture and emotional intelligence. Nonviolent communication and information integrity.

With a specialty in tackling challenging situations, I enjoy working with leaders and teams whom others consider difficult.

Previous clients include Disney, Google, Arco, The Seattle Times, Micron, Lockheed Martin, as well as smaller and mid-sized companies and nonprofits.

I hold a BA in Communications from UC Santa Barbara with a focus on persuasion, PR, and applied communication. My coaching practice is grounded in the models developed by The Conscious Leadership Group.

I live in Santa Barbara with my wife and sons.

"The best creative problem solver I know."
